Disproportionate Share (DSH) Revenue Management

Comprehensive Reimbursement, Inc. (CRI) leverages industry experience and expertise to maximize Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) reimbursement and compliance support with Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) audits. CRI prepares and reviews hundreds of DSH projects each year with Medicaid eligibility access to nearly every state.

CRI will prepare the Medicaid eligible days for use in the DSH calculation on the as-filed cost report. Our process includes Medicaid eligibility searches in nearly every state, utilizing multiple search criteria to maximizing findings.

Audit Update

CRI will provide a secondary review of the Medicaid eligible days prior to the start of the Medicare cost report desk review to identify any additional retro-active Medicaid eligibility to ensure maximum reimbursement.

Retrospective Reviews

CRI can review previously submitted Medicaid eligible days to mine for additional eligibility. If identified, CRI can assist with the submission of the additional information to the MAC through amended or reopened cost reports.

Audit Support

CRI provides full audit support for all completed DSH projects. This includes Medicaid eligibility verification and assistance with MAC questions.
